Find out in our multi-disciplinary program covering art and music business, Arts criss-cross with science and new tech, and the social and human sides of the Arts prism.

MORE ARTS & MUSIC

Explore Zukunftmusik & Kunst

Improv Studio (Music Hub)
In the mood for making or DJing electronic music? We got you covered whether you want to show off your skills or have never touched gear before: come and play with soft- and hardware from Ableton, Akai Pro, Beatport, Dato, Denon DJ, El Cid, Headrush, Kurv Labs, Moog, Native Instruments, Roland, Sennheiser, Subpac, and Theresyn.

Frei Kunst Kino – FKK (through the Bubbles room)
Discover a selection of art and music short movies by international up-and-coming directors curated by Nadia Says. Expect uplifting entertainment, beauty, weirdness, and unique outlooks on the worlds of tomorrow. Warning: movies may feature full nudity and flashing images.

Radiant Dichroic Ribbon (Innovation Stage | Haus of Tech )
Inspired by observations of light movement and outer space, What About Agency’s 60-meter dichroic ribbon, which runs across the Innovation Stage room from one corner to the next, is a beautiful exploration of mutation in time and space. Embracing the two-story venue, the installation separates daylight into prismatic colours through nano and microlayer technology and irradiates viewers with magma and sunset sky reflections.

YAIR presents Staying Alive (through the Foyer)
A camera original by Maria Marshall. A group of six-year-olds dance to Staying Alive from Saturday Night Fever, 1977 – a drama about dance as an escape from poverty and gang violence. The music is replaced by a voiceover of a six-year-old boy and girl taking turns in reading the male and female parts of an excerpt from the film; the conversation is an adult discussion about how they see their individual lives in the future.

Bubbles (on your way to Studio 3)
A collaborative piece between Asawach and Mo-netik focusing on relations between space and human interactions. This multi-media installation engages people with art through an active experience exploring their movement according to the music and bubbles of colours.

Beyond the Rubicon (Music Hub)
A VR installation by Lauren Moffatt that playfully questions the nature of the virtual and its relationship with reality by merging painting with a digital environment. This room-scale VR experience invites the viewer to explore a poetic and abstract depiction of the distortion, corruption and loss of information in the interchange between physical and virtual.

Synthesis (on your way to the Foyer)
A spatial audio experience in Augmented Reality by Portrait XO. Put the Hololens on, walk around and tap your environment to launch a sonic interpretation of it. Gesture to “synthesize” different surrounding objects and an illustration piece by Opashona Ghosh to hear sound interpretations of their color and texture.

Henry Von Blockhearts – Journey you cannot escape (on your way to Studio 3)
Watch AI driven virtual teams give your opinion an on-screen immediate impact. Henry von Blockhearts by Jarno Eerola is a real time 24/7 startup accelerator and online visual ecosystem simulator where crowd-sourced ideas visually come to life.
