Antoine Renard (*1984, Paris) lives and works in Berlin. He studied in Reading (UK), Dijon (FR), and Perth (AU), and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from École Nationale Supérieur d’Art de Dijon. Renard primarily creates installation-based works featuring an amalgamation of crafted objects, plants, waste and commodified materials that focuses on their material connections to society, ecology, human emotion, consumerism, and digital cultures. Addressing the subject through the prism of technological emancipation, his work is nurtured by teenage and popular cultures. The work stages the crossing between physical and virtual territories. It explores the way technology parasitises and deforms our consciousness. By manipulating the techno-social environment, an aesthetic of dysfunction emerges. Recent exhibition include “black dance” at Valentin gallery, “I spell it Nature” at Diesel project space, “The future of memory” at Kunsthalle Wien, SALTS Basel and gallery Gillmeier Rech.

Cher Monsieur
DJ Lily of the Valley

Cher Monsieur is one truly devoted dance-cosmopolist. Lead by a sure hand for exotica and obscurities his fingers have digged through the heart of darkness, built castles on the sandy shores of Rio, held the reins of the normads’ camels, changed the strings of shabby gypsy guitars, have clapped the castanets to the proudest flamenco dances, …and they are still not weighted down with weariness at all, always eager to work that vinyl collection of pure black gold for the sake of a world-spanning, body-moving education in DANCE.

Cher Monsieur played in all sorts of clubs, bars and festivals around Europe – From KaterHolzig, Salon zur wilden Renate, KaterHolzig and Sisyphos in Berlin, to Pllek and RedLight Radio in Amsterdam, to Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg, King Georg in Köln, KONG in Munich, Pratersauna & Grelle Forelle in Vienna, Ridley Road Market Bar in London, Mesteren&Laeringen in Copenhagen or Port Said in Tel Aviv. Festival appearances at SehrSchoen in Norway, Fusion Festival in Germany, Lighthouse

Festival in Croatia, Mysteryland in Amsterdam and Sinstruct in Northern Italy, just to name a few.

Musical styles range from percussion heavy disco, afrofunk/beat, brazilian boogie, b-music and groovy afternoon / pre party stuff from all over the world.

Artist

Debora Delmar Corp. was founded in New York City in 2011 by Debora Delmar (born in 1986 in Mexico City, MX). Her recent show, entitled *Headquarters* at Duve Gallery addresses a longing for an ecologically conscious, peaceful way to consume – in this case, through the consumption of healthy, expensive juices; yet, the feeling they supposedly convey is corrupted by what lies behind the works on view and the fictional product itself. Globalized agricultural trade is known to be an extremely aggressive economical environment, often keeping the primary producers of fruit and vegetables repressed and unable to make autonomous business decisions. Selected solo exhibitions include Upward Mobility, Modern Art Oxford, Oxford, UK, 2015; Care Concepts, Mon Chèri, Brussels, BE, 2015; Better Climate Options, with Carson Fisk-Vittori, DP, Los Angeles, CA, 2014; and Body Blend Trade Culture, Museo Universitareo del Chopo, Mexico City, MX, 2014. Selected group exhibitions include Bread And Roses, Museum of Modern Art Warsaw, Warsaw, PL, 2016; Scenes With Flat Objects, curated by Andrés Gonzalés, Travesia Cuatro, Guadalajara, MX, 2016; White House Black Market, Kimberly Klark, Queens, NY, 2015; 2015 Biennial of the Americas: NOW!, curated by Lauren A. Iris Touiatou was born in 1981 in Athens, Greece. Touliatou investigates the relations between humans and artefacts, pointing out subtle distinctions between natural and artificial, original and copy, living and lifeless. On “Holygram”, the long announced debut album, La Boum Fatale shows himself more solid and self-conscious, straight-lined and rough.

Since the release of La Boum Fatale’s debut EP “Damwild” a lot of time passed. The musical alter ego of the at that time Hamburg based musician and producer Antonio de Spirt started out of nowhere with surprising ease and the secret hit “AAA” as well as a couple of remarkable electronica listening beauties. Rather than following the usual releasing routine, de Spirt – having moved to Berlin in the meantime – allows himself the luxury of the experiment. With an open outcome he works on driving live gigs in different set-ups, tries out music on the edge of graphic design, collaborates with producers like Glenn Astro or Sieren and pulls out unconventional remixes for Me And My Drummer, Hundreds or Sizarr

Heavy, mutilated strains of electronic music with influence from the sounds of Detroit, UK and Germany – Laurel Halo’s music is a shapeshifting mess, moody and ecstatic, with flashes of rhythmic brilliance mediated by modal simplicity. The Michigan-born and Berlin-based artist has released both instrumental and vocal-driven records on the London-based label Hyperdub. Laurel also hosts a monthly show on Berlin Community Radio, having originally cut her teeth as a freeform DJ on the legendary WCBN-FM station in Ann Arbor, MI. She has collaborated with John Cale, Julia Holter, David Borden, Daniel Wohl and NH’Koxyen/Terepa, and has recorded a cover of the late folk singer, Karen Dalton, on a Tompkins Square compilation. Alongside his exhibition activity, he has pursued the phenomena of mobile sound systems for years, also from a scientific point of view, and he regularly gives talks on the subject.
