Taavet is the co-founder & chairman of TransferWise – a financial company for people and businesses that travel, live and work internationally. Prior to starting TransferWise, he was Skype’s director of strategy until 2008, starting as its first-ever employee. He acted as CEO of TransferWise until 2017, and since then has stepped into the role of chairperson.
